GARDEN AFFAIR

What a glorious day it is here in the great Pacific Northwest!  The sun is shining, birds are singing, the hens are clucking up a beautiful chorus, and my garden is growing.  In fact, it is ready for some harvesting of the spring greens.

The hens would like to know what all the excitement is about.  Well girls, let me tell you.  First, these greens are as pure as the driven snow....no pesticides or chemicals of any sort.  They have grown of pure water and sunshine.  And the results are delicious!

See?  A masterpiece of garden goodness.  These greens will give any salad a little bite of sharpness.  Yummmm.....

However, there will always be some critics that don't agree.  Savannah is clearly not impressed with the show of the fruits of my labor.  Now if this was a basket of beef we might see a different reaction.

Zoey, on the other hand, has given her paw of approval.  I know she is happy when one ear is up and the other is down.  In fact, she believes that this whole basket of succulent greens are for her and her alone.

This is her "Go away" face.  She is done with me and would like me to exit her enclosure.  Leaving the basket of greens with her, of course.  That is a hard face to say no to, but I want some of those greens too!  Have a happy first day of summer everyone!
